Sandpoint Slide show

Sandpoint Shakedown Trip

Her first time on a horse. This is Shadow and Lexi.

Vic "attempting" to install a radio on the back of the RV to create a WiFi zone. When we get it working will remove the "attempting " phrase from what should be a statement. Still working on it !!

First time the motor home has been set up. We had a great drive up there and a wonderful 3 days with Kerry and Roxanne, who where nice enough to not only let us stay on their property but also to take the time to teach us all about the ranch and their 13 horses, 2 cows, 4 Australian Shepherds and the wonderful history of their property. Great new friends and Lexi had such an unbelievable experience. She is now ready to do her first home school unit study on horses.

The trip went smoothly. Just a few things left to fix on the motor home and we didn't really discover anything major that needs to be repaired. It drives very smoothly (meaning no panic attacks for me on this trip). It goes in next week for the awning replacement over the slide and a few other minor repairs and then we can schedule trip number 2 !!

I will try to post a slide show on the blog that has about 30 pictures from our trip. Still learning this process but hang in there with me. The idea is to let family and friends follow along our journey this next year. The closer we get to Date of Departure (mid-August is still the plan) the more excited we all get. Finally finished her home school curriculum this morning for next year !! It's a lot of work but have had some wonderful advice that has helped ease the process.

Our new Home on Wheels !!

So this is our new home on wheels. We picked her up Thursday and are busy figuring out everything. Vic is working on the TV electronics end right now ... I am busy trying to figure out storage and the kitchen. We finally got the bed situation fixed. Easy enough too. We just brought in our spare regular queen with a memory foam topper that was too soft on box springs but seems perfect on the wood slab used in the motor home. Quite a comfortable rest last night.

Today she goes out for our first in town trip. We are heading to Gramma Shirley's to celebrate Mother's Day and catch up with family. Vic does great driving as long as I keep my panic attacks internal. Lexi's job is to keep me distracted to the point that I don't bother Vic.

We are excited for our real travels to begin in August but we are looking forward to some shake down trips around Washington and Idaho to see family and friends before we depart. Next week we journey to Sandpoint, Id to see friends. More pictures then.

My first blog on this journey !! Exciting. I won't share the last 3 hours of trying to get this set up. Bear with me. Its a process to learn.
